More Playhouse news!

Happy Leap Day everyone!

BOARD: There will be a Community Players of Hobbs Board meeting on Monday, March 5, at the Playhouse at 7 p.m.

FAITH COUNTY: The down-home comedy "Faith County," directed by Samantha Collins has been cast. The cast includes Carey Lindner as Mildred Carson, Paige Moore as Faye McFaye, Laura Wallace as Ruthann Barns, Erin Gibbs as Naomi Farkle, Nathan Gibbs as Delbert Fink, Jonathan Bertschinger as Luther Carson, Nikki Law as Violet Farkle, Karen Widman as Gladys Pimbleton and Artie Jenkins as Bubba Bedford.  Congrats to everyone who tried out!
Show dates are April 13, 14, 15, 20 and 21.

FIDDLER: Reports are still coming in but the overall reaction to Fiddler was awesome! Congrats to the cast and crew for a great opening show to the 75th anniversary of the Community Players of Hobbs. Several sold out nights. Several close to sold out nights.

ONLINE TICKETING: There are still some minor issues to work on but it appears most everyone liked online ticketing. So many people showed up with their tickets already printed that seating went quickly and smoothly — and that's with several sold out houses. Thanks to everyone who gave it try and found it to be a fairly simple system to make your purchase.  To borrow an old commercial phrase, "Try it. You'll like it." If you have suggestions, let us know as well.

Your "I'm not the president anymore but I'm still emailing you again and again" past president,

Daniel Russell

FYI: Eventually we may get this turned over to President Sandy Goad and/or a Playhouse email so you won't necessarily be receiving them from me. Until then, however, you have to keep on reading and ignoring me. Or, maybe not. Who knows???

Remember, the Playhouse has 75 years of history and the "community" in community theater means everyone, including you!
