Important news, everyone!
Howdy all!
A couple of quick reminders:
AUDITIONS: Auditions for "Faith County" a comedy directed by Samantha Collins will be held at the Playhouse on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 27 and 28 at 7 p.m. Parts are for six females and three males. Show dates are April 13, 14, 15, 20 and 21. This is a down-home country comedy set in Faith County Fairgrounds somewhere in the South. The characters truly are characters with funny dialogue, etc.
FIDDLER: Fiddler on the Roof tickets are going well. If you have not made your reservations, you might want to do so online at www.communityplayersofhobbs.com. You can buy tickets at the door but you take a risk. One audience member told me last week the Community Players of Hobbs' production was better than the traveling Broadway production they saw in Lubbock. Show dates are this Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
TICKETING: With the launch of online ticketing, we think it is going well but continue to want feedback. Let us know if it worked for you or if you see places for improvements.
Your "I'm not the president anymore but I'm still emailing you" past president,
Daniel Russell

FYI: Eventually we may get this turned over to Sandy Goad and/or a Playhouse email so you won't necessarily be receiving them from me. Until then, however, you have to keep on reading and ignoring me. Tee hee!

Audition notice for "Faith County", Monday 2/27 and Tuesday 2/28 at 7 PM.
The 75th Anniversary Season continues!
Auditions for "Faith County" will be held at the Playhouse on Monday, February 27th and Tuesday, February 28th at 7 PM.
Show dates are April 13th, 14th, 15th, 20th, and 21st.
Directed by Samantha Collins, "Faith County" is a comedy about a colorful set of good ol' folk who gather for the county fair, where there's stiff competition in the arts and crafts category, inspirin' poetry readin' by Faye McFaye, Mildred's ceramic depiction of The Last Supper, Ruthann's divinity (and rum) cake, Naomi's chic hair stylin' and Violet's appliquéd toilet seat covers!
And bein' spring, luuuuuv is in the air!
"Faith County" has a cast of 6 women and 3 men:
Mildred Carson - busybody of Mineola who makes everyone else’s business her business and doesn’t mind telling you exactly what you should do, when you should do it, and who you should do it with.
Faye McFaye - Flirty young checker at the A&P and town tramp. Spends a great deal of time writing bad poetry and may be described as Early White Trash.
Ruthann Barns - Wife of Rev. Ezekiel Barnes and local Moral Majority Leader.
Naomi Farkle - Mildred’s best friend and worst enemy.
Delbert Fink - Local pig farmer and the object of Faye’s affections, a feeling which he does not return nor encourage.
Luther Carson - Mildred’s cousin. Naomi’s beau and owner of “Luther’s Lube and Tune”.
Violet Farkle - Everyone’s favorite and the only person in Mineola with any sense.
Gladys Pimbleton - The eccentric First Lady of Mineola who drinks a bit too much.
Bubba Bedford - Mineola’s “village idiot” who works at Bubba’s Gas ‘n Glo and always looks like he crawled out from under a car.
Ages are flexible.
