Take the trip in four days...
"The Zoo Story" was originally written in 1959 by American Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Edward Albee. Albee is considered by many to be the American master of "Theatre of the Absurd", alongside such names as Samuel Beckett, Harold Pinter, and Tom Stoppard.
"The Zoo Story" was Albee's first play, among other works such as "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf", "A Delicate Balance", "Breakfast at Tiffany's", and the stage adaptation of Vladimir Nabokov's "Lolita".
Albee, now 82, is still active in theatre, and is currently a distinguished professor at the University of Houston, where he teaches playwriting.
"The Zoo Story" is directed by Nathan R. Miles (Director - "Rabbit Hole", "All My Sons"), and stars Nick Keel ("Company of Wayward Saints", "Rabbit Hole") and Robert Schumacher ("Company of Wayward Saints", "The Curious Savage", "All My Sons").
Shows are March 3rd, 4th, and 5th at 8 PM, tickets are $10 (general admission) and $8 (students/seniors). Call 575-393-0676 for reservations, or use the email link to the right.
Proceeds will go toward sending the cast & crew to Artesia for the 2011 AACTFest competition. Come out and support "Team Zoo Story", your representatives in the AACT competition!
