Don't forget the Gala coming up...

It's only a week away, folks!

Greetings everyone!

Yes, another year has flown by and it is that time again for the annual Playhouse Awards Gala.

Please make plans to attend.

The gala is this Saturday, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Western Heritage Museum.
Best of all, it is at NO COST to attend. While you can just show up if you decided at the last minute, to help us in determining how much hors d'oeuvres to order please email me back, call Kim's Kakes at 397-7665 or respond to the Facebook invitation.

YOUR attendance is VERY important.

First, you, the general membership will be voting on approval of a slate of board of directors. There may be some changes proposed to the board. Kim Hill, Glynese Floyd and myself have met, per the by-laws, to suggest a slate of BOD.

Second, the Playhouse will present its highest honor, the Tom Mason Award. Your attendance is a way to tell this person thank you for his or her hard work.

Third, we will give out Unsung Hero Awards, Carl Busch Scholarships, Outstanding Individual Awards, Outstanding Corporate Sponsor Award and a new one this year, a Newcomer Award.

Fourth, it is always nice to see everyone gathered at least one time a year. Even if you did not participate directly in any shows this year, it always wonderful to have every gathered for a semi-casual evening of light food and celebrations.

Let me also say how much I personally appreciate the efforts of everyone this past year. I can report the financials look excellent and audience attendance numbers were good. Our financial success is because so many of you have watched spending, donated time and money, and sought to preserve or improve things.

TRIVIA: We are now celebrating our 74th year!!!!!!!!

GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN: The musical has been cast. The cast is Juston Harlin, Charlie Brown; Josh Berner, Snoopy; Kathrine Baxter, Lucy Van Pelt; Erin Anderson, Sally Brown; Leigh Melton, Linus; Ronnie Gray, Schroeder; Sarah Bunch, Peppermint Patty; and Tyler Bunch, Pig-Pen. Show is in February.
