Marooned on Pirate Isle, a haunted pirate adventure is at the Playhouse, 1700 N. Grimes, on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - Oct. 28, 29, and 30 - from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. Set sail on the "Queen of the Caribbean" for a relaxing luxury cruise. But... beware, ye landlubbers ... I be warnin' ye now, the seas be not safe from th' dreadful curse of pirates!! Arrrr! $5 per person.....
Some have asked me how scary it will be and for what age group. There are scary parts (darkness, weird sounds, yucky parts and enclosed hallways, etc.) Actors will be able to control some of how much scariness is there so let the ticket sellers know your age group but that toning down may be minimal. Use your best judgement but my guess is not for the very young. This is closer to Pirates of Caribbean with haunted, yucky, spooky stuff. Near total darkness at times and lots of fog, creepy lighting, etc.
Besides simply attending this haunted pirate house, we need actors and volunteers to help make the ship sail every night. Please contact Juston Harlin ASAP about what nights you can volunteer and what you are willing to do (love, love, love people being pirates. The more the merrier. We need to fill the adventure with pirates hanging out, etc.)
Contact Juston at 619-549-1188 (text or call) or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org. He really needs to hear from you today or Tuesday to confirm your participation. He needs to "cast" certain parts, etc., and can't do this until he knows that ya wanna be a part of the plunderin'.
